Here we have the 2010 double vinyl reissue of two Alice In Chains EP's: 1994's seven-track EP, Jar Of Flies and 1992's EP Sap. Generally regarded as the second-best thing Alice In Chains ever did (after second album Dirt), Jar Of Flies has the distinction of being the first EP ever to debut at No.1 on the Billboard 200. Written and recorded in an undirected “jam” fashion in just one week, the record was very well received, noted especially for the more acoustic orientation of the record. Jar Of Flies was in many ways a continuation of the acoustic sound the band began with 1992s Sap, a five-track acoustic EP that featured Chris Cornell and Mark Arm (Mudhoney).
