The seminal debut album from Darwin Deez has been unavailable on vinyl for some time now. Well, hurrah! It has been repressed for its 10th anniversary and here it is on limited white vinyl with blue splatter! What’s more, the reissue includes a bonus 7” disc containing three singles. Upon its initial release in 2010, Darwin Deez was met with universal praise. There was nobody around quite like Darwin, and his wonderfully off-kilter debut album is testament to that fact. Recording the album in his own apartment using only a PC and a cheap microphone – he can lay a claim to being the original indie ‘bedroom’ artist – the songs are mostly stripped down, simple and unadorned but they pulse and throb deliciously with life and a rare wit.
