A Hymn For Ancient Land, the second full-length from Sheffield-based Jim Ghedi, draws on the natural beauty found whilst touring the British Isles. Inspired by the locales in which he found himself - Cwn Elan, Bramley Moor, the Banks of Mulroy Bay – the locations provide the source of the muse as well as the song titles.

With his debut album named Home Is Where I Exist, Now To Live And Die the follow-up, based on the writer’s travels, serves as a contrast to his starting point. Like a walk over the hills in November – ambient, sparse, Autumnal – the album’s strength lies in its ability to evoke the atmosphere & brooding landscapes of the places referenced in the track titles.

A contemplative & painterly rendering of the sights it seeks to display, as branching & intricate as the Fortingall Yew.

180G vinyl released on Basin Rock – includes 8-page booklet & download.
