On July 18th, 1980, Joy Division released Closer; a game-changing album in the annuls of post-punk, and one of only two albums recorded by the band prior to the premature death of singer Ian Curtis. Along with ‘79s iconic debut, Unknown Pleasures, Joy Division made a lasting impression in their brief stay. Almost to the day of its 40th anniversary, Closer is being reissued to mark the occasion and, alongside this, three standalone, non-album singles are being re-released for the first time EVER!

Transmission was released in October 1979 on Factory Records and would become a hallmark of the band and its legacy. It is reissued in 2020 on 180g vinyl, featuring the original artwork on heavyweight board and embossed sleeve.
