If nothing else, Noel Gallagher can be applauded for abandoning tried and tested in favour of something more experimental with Who Built The Moon? Although judging by lead single 'Holy Mountain', one would expect there to be plenty to savour on big brother's new album anyway. Noel has gone firmly alternative on this one and for anti-fans of Oasis Mark II, we're delighted.

From lead track 'Holy Mountain' to the latest release, the positively Chemical Brother's-esque 'Fort Knox', you see clearly the breadth of experimenting on this record. Relying less on the trusty indie blueprint and with producer David Holmes chiming in, Who Built The Moon? has a slew of ambient instrumentation and electronic programming; easily Gallagher's most experimental work to date.
