The droning juggernaut that is Sunn O))) rolls on with latest album Pyroclasts, which follows Life Metal, released earlier in 2019. Apparently, this is Life Metal’s ‘shadow album', whatever that really means, and Pyroclasts apparently results from a daily 12-minute drone improvisation exercise that occurred each day of the Life Metal sessions. It helped them connect or liberate the mind... or something. Pyroclasts is available on limited transparent red vinyl, housed in a stoughton jacket with obi strip.
