We’ve been big fans of this Hull shoegaze lot since 2019’s debut EP, If Not, When? burst into our world with its cloudy and atmospheric stylings of early Slowdive and The Cure; we were hooked instantly. And now, Bdrmm release their first full-length, Bedroom. Why not just spell your name out, I say – saves people getting it wrong, I guess. Which has happened plenty apparently, according to frontman Ryan Smith, who says the band have been called everything from Boredom to Bad Riddim! Joking apart, lead single ‘Happy’ is one of the finest songs we’ve heard in 2020. It is a mammoth step up in terms of quality and confidence from these guys and we’re finally going to see exactly what this lot are capable of. Bedroom is available in a limited indie store exclusive green vinyl.
