Shipping

Simple Shipping

UK shipping is one flat fee of £4.00 for all 12" vinyl—whether we’re shipping one record or ten.

For 7 vinyl and CD, this is a flat fee of £2.00.

All of our shipments are sent first class. You can add insured delivery (recorded) to your shipment for an additional £1.00. We recommend this for orders above £50.

For larger orders over 2kg in weight (the Royal Mail weight limit), you will pay one flat fee of £5.00, shipped via tracked and insured courier. Orders under 2kg are shipped via Royal Mail first class.

 

Premium Packing

We’re no slouches. We've been shipping this stuff long enough to know how it's done. We secure your vinyl in purpose-made, hard-wearing record mailers, with all manner of stiffeners, chunky corner protectors and added padding where required. So worry not about slipping that extra record into your order. We've got you covered!

 

Super Speedy

Great value shouldn’t compromise speed. We send everything – UK and International – by first class delivery.

We don't offer next day delivery services ("special delivery") or courier services for orders under 2kg as standard. First class Royal Mail delivery is usually very quick and we’ve had no complaints. But if you have any special requirements, we can sort it—just drop us a message with your order, or contact lee@recordculture.com for a custom shipping quote.

Orders that include both in-stock items and either pre-order or back-order items will ship once all titles are in. We have to do this to maintain our competitive flat fee UK shipping. If timing is important for you, we would advise you to place separate orders for in-stock items and, for example, pre-order items. You are welcome to contact us to split the order for you after you have placed it if you wish. Additional shipping charges will apply.

Here are some general guidelines on UK delivery times:

In-stock item: Nearly always ship within one working day, if not the same day (Mon – Fri) and normally arrive in 1 - 3 days.

Pre-order item: We usually get pre-order items in 1 – 3 days before release day so we aim to ship them on the day they come in to us. Note that release dates can change or there may be delays with our own suppliers, which is completely out of our control. Once shipped, they normally arrive in 1 - 3 days.

Back-order item: Usually ship within one working day once they arrive with us (Mon – Fri), though the lead time on back-orders highly depends on our suppliers. We usually give the rough estimate of 3 – 5 days, though delays can happen.

 

International Shipping

We happily ship vinyl all over the globe. We base international shipping on weight, and this is all done for you at the checkout. If you are at all concerned about shipping costs and want to know these in advance, just drop us an email for us to quote you.

We strongly advise customers to choose International Signed & Tracked delivery - particularly for orders of £50 and above - to make sure your items are insured to a higher value against loss. If you choose not to take this option, we may not be responsible for losses, and for certain countries International Signed & Tracked shipping is the only available option.

We send all International orders up to 2kg by First Class shipping via Royal Mail and we send orders over 2kg with full tracking via international courier. Orders above 5kg require a custom shipping quote before we can finalise the order. This will render itself in the checkout as free shipping, with a message that says ‘Custom Shipping Quote Required’. Complete your order as normal, and we’ll e-mail you with shipping costs. If you don’t like the shipping costs, no problem, we can just cancel the order.

You can find the approximate international shipping times below. These are only guidelines:

Europe: 4–7 working days

World Zone 1 (North America): 7–14 working days

World Zone 2 (Australia): Approximately 7–20 working days

Any customs import fees are the sole responsibility of the customer; we have no control over any of this.

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that you input addresses correctly. We will not re-send packages at our expense that are returned to us undelivered because of an insufficient address.
