Shipping

Simple Shipping

First class UK shipping up to 2kg = £5.00 flat fee—whether we're shipping one record, two records, three records, whatever.

Second class UK shipping up to 2kg = £3.50 flat fee—whether we're shipping one record, two records, three records, whatever.

UK shipping over 2kg is one flat fee of £5.00, no matter how heavy and is the maximum we will ever charge for shipping. Orders over 2kg are sent via insured courier as standard.

For 7" vinyl and CD, this is £3.50 for first class shipping and £2.50 for second class

You can add insured delivery (recorded) to all options for an additional £1.00

Local Delivery

We offer a local delivery service for a £1.50 flat-fee to any address within a three-mile radius of our Stourbridge shop.

If your shipping address is within the three-mile radius, the Local Delivery option will show up at the checkout.

Our Local Deliveries have a target delivery time of same day or next day, depending on when the order comes in, but can take up to three working days, again, depending on what day the order comes in. Delivery times are of course dependent on stock availability.

Please note that the Local Delivery option does not guarantee a pre-order on your doorstep ahead of schedule or necessarily on the morning of release day. The Local Delivery scheme operates a best-endeavours policy in this regard.

Premium Packing

We’re no slouches. We've been shipping this stuff long enough to know how it's done. We secure your vinyl in purpose-made, hard-wearing record mailers, with all manner of stiffeners, chunky corner protectors and added padding where required. So worry not about slipping that extra record into your order. We've got you covered.

Combined Orders

Orders that include both in-stock items and pre-order items will ship once all titles are in. We have to do this to maintain our competitive shipping costs.

If timing is crucial for you, we would advise you to place separate orders for in-stock items and pre-order items. You are welcome to contact us to split the order for you after you have placed it if you wish. Additional shipping charges will apply.

Delivery Times

Here are some general guidelines on UK delivery times:

In-stock item: Nearly always ship within one working day, if not the same day -and usually arrive in 1 - 3 working days.

Pre-order item: We get pre-order items delivered to us anywhere between 1-3 days before general release (and increasingly only on the day of release itself for certain titles) so we aim to ship them out to you on the day they come in to us but please note that when the distributor gets the title to us is entirely out of our control.

Release dates can and do change, which is completely out of our control. We do try to keep customers informed where this happens but please be patient with us as it can be a full-time job in itself sometimes.

International Shipping

We happily ship vinyl all over the world. Overseas shipping costs are based on weight, and this is all done for you at the checkout.

We would always advise customers to choose International Signed & Tracked delivery to make sure your items are insured to a higher value against loss and so that we can properly track it in the event of a loss. If you choose not to take this option, we may not be responsible for losses, and for certain countries International Signed & Tracked shipping is the only option we will offer.

We send all International orders up to 2kg by First Class shipping via Royal Mail and we send orders over 2kg with full tracking as standard via international courier.

Orders over 5kg require a custom shipping quote before we can finalise the order. This will render itself in the checkout as free shipping, with a message that says ‘Custom Shipping Quote Required’. Complete your order as normal, and we’ll e-mail you with shipping costs. If you are not comfortable with the shipping charge, we can just cancel the order for you.

You can find the approximate international shipping times below. These are only guidelines:

Europe: 4–7 working days

World Zone 1 (North America): 7–14 working days

World Zone 2 (Australia): Approximately 7–20 working days

Any customs import fees are the sole responsibility of the customer; we have no control over any of this.

EU Shipping with IOSS

We ship into the EU using the registered IOSS scheme. It’s all a bit boring but put simply is just a new way of covering the tax collection changes that happened following the United Kingdom’s exit from the EU.

The IOSS scheme means that all orders from countries within the EU will have tax collected at the point of purchase and you should not pay any tax or customs charges upon delivery (providing the order value is below €150)

The IOSS scheme makes the process of tax collection easier on both sides but it does require the hire of a merchant to make this happen. Therefore within the cost of your shipping, £1 of this is to cover our IOSS payments, even though it doesn’t explicitly show this at the checkout. Please remember this if shipping costs seem a little steep.

For orders outside of the EU (i.e. the Rest of the World), the IOSS scheme is not applicable and taxes will not be collected at the point of purchase and are collected as per the normal protocols of your country.

General Information

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that you input addresses correctly. We will not re-send packages at our expense that were undelivered because of an insufficient or incorrect address.

While there are occasional exceptions, we do not usually ship orders on Saturdays and are unable to ship orders on Sundays and public holidays.

More often than not, we dispatch orders the following morning after the day the order came in, though sometimes we are able to dispatch on the same day.
