Record Fair

The next Stourbridge Record & Music Fair is on Saturday, April 6th 2024 at Stourbridge Town Hall.

Our inaugural Record & Music fair took place on March 4th 2023 and, with over 650 visitors through the door on the day, it was a total triumph. Here is a little write-up that the local paper did: https://www.expressandstar.com/news/local-hubs/dudley/stourbridge/2023/03/05/music-lovers-flock-to-stourbridge-for-record-and-music-fair/

Stourbridge's big record and music fair returns on Saturday 6th April 2024, with over 50 tables of records, CDs, artwork, equipment, and all sorts of other goodies. There will also be live DJs on throughout the day and craft beer on tap.

Food & Drink

Yet to be determined at the time of writing but we plan to hold a street food fair just outside the Town Hall on the day that will feature a number of accomplished street food vendors! Stay tuned for more info on that

There will be both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink options for sale inside the venue

Visitors and traders can pick up a wonderful Quarter Horse coffee at our Record Culture record shop opposite the Town Hall

Entertainment

Throughout the day, a selection of live DJs will be playing music in the main hall. Upstairs, we expect to have a lineup of acoustic acts playing throughout the day.

Parking

There is no on-site parking available for visitors but there are numerous options for parking in the town, including the Tesco underground car park, which is perfect for short-stay visitors as you'll get 2 hours there and the Town Hall is just a walk or elevator ride up to the top floor. The Ryemarket multi-story car park is the best option for a longer visit, costing £3.50 for the day.

Alternatively, there are various spots of off-street parking around the town if you are happy to take in a little walk

There are excellent rail and bus links into Stourbridge and the Town Hall is located just a 5 minute walk from Stourbridge Town train and bus station.

Accessibility

There are two possible entry points to the hall. One entrance is on Market Street, directly opposite our shop at 11 Market Street. The other entrance is located in the Crown Centre near to Tesco - this second entrance is wheelchair friendly.

Information For Traders

Booking A Pitch & Costs

To enquire about booking a pitch, e-mail us at lee@recordculture.com

Pitch fees are as follows:

1 Table - £35
2 Tables - £70
3 Tables - £90 (£15 discount)
4 Tables - £120 (£20 discount)

1 table is 5 feet long and 2.5 feet deep. If you use industry standard 35XL Really Useful boxes, you can fit eight boxes to 1 table if you position them with the shortest side at the front.

Note that we cannot offer or guarantee a particular pitch for sellers. Pitches will be allocated based on the eventual layout of the room

Payment for pitches is due in advance and will be requested directly by the organiser before the event

Arrival/Unloading Times

The event has permission for sellers to park on the right-hand side of Market Street (outside the Town Hall), which has double yellow lines, for unloading only

We would also encourage sellers to park on the left-hand side of Market Street if there are spaces available, where you can park freely here for 1 hour

To avoid any congestion when unloading, sellers will be allocated either a first-wave or second-wave loading slot at the time of booking. First-wave loading will be from 8.30am - 9.30am and second-wave loading from 9.30am - 10.30am

PLEASE, do not arrive before your allocated time. If everyone sticks to their time, everything will run fine and there will be space for everybody

Unloading/Access

Access for sellers unloading is via a side entrance to the Town Hall, which you will be directed to upon arrival. The route from the designated unloading areas into the main hall is an entirely flat route.

Parking

There is no on-site parking available at the venue for sellers. We have acquired a small number of parking spaces at a nearby venue, which will be allocated to those with larger vehicles/larger loads, and/or those with access requirements or disabilities.

The majority of sellers will need to park their vehicle up after unloading, using one of various car parking options available in the town. For those with confirmed bookings, these will be highlighted to you in an information pack closer to the event.

For reference, however, all car parking options are at the time of writing £3.50 for the day. There is free off-road car parking options to be found just outside of the main High Street area for those who don't mind a slightly longer walk.
