2001's They Threw us all in a Trench and Stuck a Monument on Top was Liars' debut album. It's innovative, unpredictable, cool and chaotic. Try Gang of Four played by a loose version of the Birthday Party. The nine tracks were recorded over two days in Brooklyn, NY with producer Steve Revitte, best known for his work with the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion and Beastie Boys. This was a stunning return for Blast First as a label.
