Art Blakey and The Jazz Messengers' Free For All was perhaps the band’s most potent album. Recorded in February 1964 the music bristled with the charged energy of the Civil Rights Movement with a powerful sextet line-up featuring the great drummer with Wayne Shorter, Freddie Hubbard, Curtis Fuller, Cedar Walton and Reggie Workman.
This Blue Note Classic Vinyl Edition is stereo, all-analog, mastered by Kevin Gray from the original master tapes, and pressed on 180g vinyl at Optimal.
