American Prometheus is an album described as a post-punk fusion with Motown or Northern Soul. If you’re not a Motown enthusiast, don’t let that put you off. While there are certainly rhythm and certain vocal influences there, American Prometheus has just as much in common with mid ‘00s dancefloor indie, like Black Kids or Phoenix. It is music to make you dance, hiding a grim secret as essentially a concept album about the atomic bomb. Sounds great though!
