Remastered from the original analogue sources by Robert Hampson at Soundmasters with Kevin Metcalfe, Heaven's End originally came out on the Head label in 1987, they recorded their first Peel session that year (on the CD bonus disc) and the album draws heavily from the likes of the Velvets, Stooges, and the MC5. Loop began experimenting with blissed out, long-form vu jam inspirationals before the near-mainstream success of the likes of My Bloody Valentine and in many ways went far deeper than those bands. Sonically challenging and deeply immersive, Heaven's End began the journey for the band that ended in orbit, flying above every other effects-drenched rock experimentalists.
