Whilst the album is perfectly enjoyable to listen too, it does lack that certain spark from previous efforts, no doubt due to the lack of Andy Fletcher’s input and the resultant feeling of loss that imbued the first few songs with obvious sadness.
It’s a decent album but with such a strong back catalogue, it’s far from them at their best.
