The guys at Fuzz Club don’t do much wrong, do they? Here they are again for their first release of 2020 and, quelle surprise, it’s another good ‘un. Selva is the second album from Uruguayan duo Las Cobras – following 2017’s Temporal – and continues to dial into a world of murky underground psychedelia and burly basslines. With the fizzing basslines of Here Lies Man, the trippy psychedelia of Khruangbin and the thumping mechanics of A Place To Bury Strangers, Selva is a menacing, brooding triumph. As with all Fuzz Club releases, Selva is available only at indie record stores.
