Core (2023 Reissue)

Core is the 1992 debut studio album by American rock band Stone Temple Pilots. The album peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and was certified 8x Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), making it the band's best-selling album. 

The first recorded track for the album, "Wet My Bed", was from an improv session between vocalist Scott Weiland and bassist Robert DeLeo, who were alone in the studio.  Striving to create an intense and emotional sound, vocalist Weiland said that the main theme of the album is that humanity is confused. The inspiration for the album's title is the apple featured in the story of Adam and Eve. 

The album is released on Recycled Colour Vinyl for National Album Day.
