Inflammable Material is a staple of the second wave punk movement of the late ‘70s, not because it challenged the social and political norms that mostly all punk did, but because it specifically aimed at the oppression and violence of the “troubles” in Northern Ireland at the time. It was also apparently the first album released on an independent label to hit the top 20 of the UK charts. In its 40th year, it gets a lovely vinyl reissue.
