Portugal. The Man is an American rock band from Wasilla, Alaska and based in Portland, Oregon. The group consists of John Baldwin Gourley, Zach Carothers, Kyle O'Quin, Eric Howk and Zoe Manville. Gourley and Carothers met and began playing music together in 2001 at Wasilla High School in Wasilla.
In SHISH, Portugal. The Man sings about the more righteous world witnessed at home and the vision for the rest of us — taking only what we need, advocating for others at every turn, and sharing the best of what we’ve learned to give everyone a chance to be better still.
