Hot Motion is the third album from British psych-rockers Temples. On this outing, Temples sound keen to progress from the straight-up, fuzzed-out psych of old and give it some of the Tame Impala or MGMT treatment where they can. Hot Motion is available in a limited indie store exclusive coloured vinyl (green and tan mixed colour vinyl with red and yellow splatter) with 'zoetrope' animated labels. Very cool!

Temples first album Sun Structures was an interesting album, if a bit rough around the edges and a bit derivative. 60's psychedelia it was good but sounded a bit like a tribute band. With their second album, Volcano, they lost their way a bit throwing in electro pop keyboards and it was a bit of a mess. With this LP they have gone back to the sixties influenced psychedelic rock sound but have developed their own sound. It's fuzzy guitars, a bit T-Rex, a bit progressive rock in places and is a good fun record to listen to.
