A record that needs little introduction, Unknown Pleasures is the 1979 debut album by post-punk Gods Joy Division. Released on the fabled Factory Records and recorded at the equally-fabled Strawberry Studios with Martin Hannett, Unknown Pleasures is a staple of the UK post-punk genre and one album every record collector should own. It was, of course, the only Joy Division album released during singer Ian Curtis’ lifetime, with second album Closer being released posthumously.
